Values – Montrose Mindset and Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Supports

Our Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework underpins a safe and inclusive learning environment. We refer to our values and the way that we display them as the Montrose Mindset. The Montrose Mindset was developed in consultation with staff, students and the wider community and describes how we display our core values. We promote our core values —Courage, Growth, Respect, Responsibility and Connection—through explicit teaching, recognition systems, and restorative practices. SWPBS is embedded across all aspects of school life, helping students develop the social and emotional skills needed for lifelong success.
